Information For Librarians

Reviews of Economic Literature (REL), published by Stanford University Press (SUP), is a peer reviewed journal that publishes articles on developments across the field of economics for economists and other interested readers.

REL is owned by a not-for-profit company with charitable purposes.

In 2026 the journal is supported through SUP's limited grant funding to operate under the Diamond Open Access model, meaning there are no APCs or subscription fees to publish or read. In 2027 the journal is planning to transition to the Subscribe to Open model, in order to continue offering $0 APCs for authors.
